About The Young Nationals

President of the Young Nationals
Damian Callachor |
The Young Nationals is the party for under 30's who want to celebrate life in rural and regional Australia. We want to make sure the views of young people in country areas are heard by the elected leaders of Australia.
The Young Nats aim to showcase the young, vibrant, enthusiastic face of the 7 million Australians who choose to live, work or invest in the regions outside our major metropolitan cities.
Those of us who live in or come from rural and regional Australia know the benefits of life in the bush – traffic jams are a rarity, community spirit abounds and the publican always knows your name. We’re also fully aware of the challenges like a scarcity of educational and career opportunities, isolation and lack of services.
Joining the Young Nats gives you a chance to work on practical ideas to make life in regional Australia even better. Decisions are made every day in Parliaments around the country – being a Young Nat gives you the opportunity to have a say in the future of your community.
The Young Nationals’ membership is not just confined to those living in regional areas. The Young Nationals also has a large number of members living in the cities. The Young Nationals welcome all young people under 30 who are enthusiastic about getting involved in conservative politics throughout Australia.
We have an active social network which stretches right across Australia and are unafraid when it comes to debating the big issues. We are a diverse bunch, with various views with one thing in common – a passion for rural and regional Australia.
Find your voice, get involved and be a part of something valuable.
