The Queensland Young Nationals welcome the decision of Central Council on the new Senate candidates and especially the edition of David Goodwin, 28, a Queensland Young National. State President, Damien Tessmann, states that there is now a clear choice for Queenslanders to make when voting for the champions to represent them in the Nation’s capital.
“The ticket, led by Senator Boswell, is made up of people committed to Queensland. Senator Boswell has a track record of delivering for Queenslanders with David Goodwin a man with a young family representing Queensland’s growing families and Scott Buchholtz who is committed to regional Queensland through his work thus far in the regions” Mr Tessmann stated.
“The interesting thing with this Senate team is that they all are either current members of the Queensland Young Nationals or have had a key role with in the organisation”.
Senator Boswell is a Honorary Life Member of the Queensland Young Nationals, David Goodwin is currently a member of the Greater Brisbane Branch and Scott Buchholtz is a former chairman of the Emerald Young Nationals” Mr Tessmann said.
“There can only be a great future with this team and I look forward to seeing the fruits of this team at the coming election in 2007” he said.
